Working with me

IMG-20250727-WA0135.jpg

You may already know quite a lot about healthy eating and still feel unsure about what needs to change for you.

I take time to listen to what has been happening, what you have already tried and what you would like to feel different. We consider your food alongside your health history, sleep, stress, activity and any relevant results.

Then we decide what to focus on first. Your plan needs to work with your tastes, family, work and the time you have available. We make changes step by step, with room to talk through difficulties and adjust as we go.

My aim is for you to understand your choices and feel more confident managing your nutrition.

How 1:1 support works

01

Start with a
conversation
Book a free 15-minute discovery call. Tell me what you would like help with, ask your questions and find out what working together could involve. We discuss suitable support options and fees before you book.

02

Your first
consultation
Before we meet, I send you a health questionnaire. You can also share any relevant results you already have.
During our initial consultation, we take time to understand your symptoms, health history, eating habits and daily routine. Together, we agree on your priorities and where to begin.

03

Put your plan
into practice
You receive personalised nutrition and lifestyle guidance with clear actions to work on. Depending on your needs, this may include meal ideas, portions, food timing, recipes or support with training nutrition.
I explain the reasons behind the recommendations so you understand what we are working towards.

04

Review and adjust together
At follow-ups, we talk about how you feel, what has been manageable and where you need more help. We review any relevant test results and adapt your plan as your needs or circumstances change.

Before recommending a test, I explain what it can and cannot tell us, how we would use the results, what collection involves and the cost. We review the findings together alongside your symptoms and health history, then decide what they mean for your next steps.

You do not need tests before getting started. Nutrition support can also sit alongside any medical care you already receive.

FUNCTIONAL TESTING

Where it can add useful information

Testing can sometimes help us explore a specific question that comes up during our work together. We start with your symptoms, health history and any results you already have, then consider whether further information could help guide your plan.

Depending on your needs, options may include:
Gut and digestive testing
Stool testing such as GI-MAP measures selected microorganisms and markers relating to digestive function and gut health. Breath testing for suspected SIBO may also be considered where appropriate.

Hormone testing
DUTCH testing measures selected sex hormones, cortisol and their breakdown products, using urine samples collected at home.

Nutrient and metabolic testing
Targeted blood tests, an Omega-3 Index or Metabolomix+ with fatty acids may be considered, depending on the question we are exploring. Metabolomix+ measures markers related to nutrient metabolism; the fatty acid profile adds information about fats including omega-3 and omega-6.

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

A few questions you might have...

  • Yes. I offer consultations online and at my clinic in Almancil, Algarve, in English or French. We can review your food, health history and any relevant results together wherever you’re based.

  • Not necessarily. We start with your symptoms, health history, everyday food and any results you already have. If a test or supplement could be useful, I explain why, what it involves and the cost before you decide. Tests and supplements are charged separately from consultations.

  • Your plan needs to fit your life, including family meals, eating out and the foods you enjoy. We agree on manageable changes and build on them gradually. If a specific dietary adjustment could help, I explain the reason and we review how you respond.

  • That depends on what you would like help with and how much support you need. At your first consultation, we agree on your priorities and discuss follow-ups. These give us time to see what is working, talk through difficulties and adjust your plan as you make progress.

  • I offer different support options depending on your needs. During your free 15-minute discovery call, we can talk through what you’re looking for and I’ll explain the suitable options, what they include and the fees. There’s no obligation to book.
